Course Description: This course provides students with the core competencies to function as clinical dietitians in hospital settings. Through hands-on experience, students apply classroom knowledge to real-world cases involving chronic and acute conditions. The course develops proficiency in the nutrition care process, including assessment, data interpretation, intervention planning, and outcome monitoring, while fostering collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Objectives of the course :

Equipping students with the necessary skills to work as clinical dietitians in hospitals, enabling them to apply the nutrition care process for patients with chronic and acute conditions.

Course outputs :

1. Description of patient screening methods to assess nutritional risk.
2. Demonstrate the ability to assess and interpret data to diagnose and prioritize nutritional care needs.
3. Develop and implement dietary interventions based on the patient's needs.
4. Ability to monitor and evaluate the results of nutritional intervention while working with a multidisciplinary care team.
5. Implement case study documentation using the ADIME or SOAP format.
