Course Description: This course emphasizes that the concept of family medicine is a comprehensive and continuous healthcare practice for the individual and family, through optimal, appropriate, and advanced utilization. It focuses on health care in its comprehensive sense, which means more than just being free from illness. Family Medicine Essentials: Continuous Health Care: Coordination with relevant bodies that contribute to raising the health level, ensuring a broader healthcare system to meet patient needs. Holistic View in Healthcare Delivery: Through understanding organic, psychological, and social interactions, and their reciprocal impact and overall effect on the individual, family, and community. Community Health Care: Healthcare services in family medicine are not limited to the individual and family but also include the community through understanding the impact of social and cultural environments, and the timely and appropriate detection, monitoring, follow-up, and reporting of epidemic diseases. Family Medicine Practice: The family medicine course provides training on the concept of family medicine and dealing with common health problems that a family physician may encounter.
