Course Description: This course covers the curriculum of dermatology, built around general and specific behavioral objectives. It integrates basic sciences with clinical sciences and the skills required for diagnosis and treatment. The content addresses specific dermatological objectives and outlines the objectives the student should achieve, varying in importance for the general practitioner.

Objectives of the course :

Display responsible and compassionate behavior with the patient and family, taking into account cultural, social, and economic backgrounds, and when interacting with all educational levels and abilities.
Mastering the communication skills required for taking an appropriate medical history and performing a physical examination.
3. Assess the role of basic sciences (anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry) and relevant basic pathophysiological processes in the diagnosis and management of common dermatological conditions in the patient and the community.
4. Identifying the epidemiological profile of the population and community, their heritage, and their cultural, social, geographical, and economic characteristics, and the relationship of all of these to the causes of dermatological diseases and their management.
5. Possess the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and manage patients' skin health problems: emergencies, common diseases, and disabilities, including health promotion and prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and follow-up.
6. The optimal selection of the most appropriate and cost-effective tests to reach the correct diagnosis, taking into account the patient's rights, capabilities, and the healthcare system's capabilities.
7. Interact effectively with the health team (and appreciate the role of others) in providing medical services.
8. Continue independent learning and pursue graduate studies.
