Course Description: This course aims to enhance the pharmacological knowledge and skills gained in previous body organ systems courses in an integrated and comprehensive approach to the human body. While the main focus of this block is to consider the therapeutic management of the most common health problems, there is an emphasis on the clinical treatments of different problems. A significant amount of discussion of various therapeutic cases is also presented to enable students to judge laboratory results, integrate them with the patient's problem, and design an appropriate treatment plan. During this block, students are given the opportunity to integrate previously acquired pharmacological knowledge with that of hospital practice.

Objectives of the course :

1. Applying a systematic approach to the treatment and prevention of diseases.
2. Understanding concepts of teamwork and an integrated approach to dealing with health problems.
3. Recognition of multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary methodological concepts.
Connecting theoretical knowledge in pharmacology and other basic sciences to the clinical therapeutic management of common diseases.
5. Design an appropriate treatment plan for common diseases.
6. Practicing medication description skills.
7. Develop a treatment monitoring plan.
8. Be aware of drug interactions and adverse effects.
9. Identify common uses and misuse of over-the-counter medications.
10. Be familiar with the basic principles of managing toxicity from common drugs and poisons.
