Endocrinology and metabolism

Course Description: The course covers the endocrine system of the body and its diseases. It includes general objectives and specific objectives. The objectives aim to familiarize the student with the anatomy of endocrine glands, their histological features, their hormonal secretions, their functions, and the resulting imbalances due to deficiency or overproduction, as well as related diseases, their medical examination, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention for individuals and society. The course also includes normal and abnormal metabolic processes, their medical examination, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention for individuals and society. It covers how the body extracts the energy it needs from food, how metabolic processes are interconnected to provide the necessary energy for the body, as well as energy balance and obesity.
