Course Description: The course primarily aims to assist learners in selecting good research topics in their specializations, writing and completing their research proposals, and presenting and defending them systematically and convincingly. The course seeks to train learners on the precise formulation of the research problem and research questions, the epistemologically justified choice of the appropriate scientific methodology, the mechanism for selecting and analytically critically studying literature and its sources, how to choose an appropriate sample, and consideration of ethical frameworks, scientific integrity, and citation of references in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed research. This course provides good opportunities for students to gain research experience from faculty members invited to lecture and discuss.
Credit hours: 3
Objectives of the course :

1. Familiarize yourself with the methodology for developing and completing a research plan according to quantitative and qualitative research templates.
2. Define the precise wording of the research problem and select the appropriate methodology and sample within an epistemologically and methodologically justified framework.
3. Familiarization with the methodology of selecting literature and its sources, and how to study them in an analytical and critical manner.
4. Developing the skill of presenting the research plan orally and defending it with a convincing scientific methodology.
