Qualitative research

Course Description: The course focuses on delving into qualitative research and its epistemological foundations. It aims for a deep epistemological understanding of the positive cases for qualitative research, its advantages and disadvantages within the context of social sciences and humanities, with a focus on administrative sciences from a research applications perspective. The course also addresses, through an in-depth epistemological lens, qualitative research methodologies, data collection and analysis tools, its ethics, the components of a qualitative research proposal, and writing qualitative research.
Credit hours: 3
Objectives of the course :

1. Identifying the epistemological and methodological foundations of qualitative research, its advantages and disadvantages, and its use cases.
2. Identifying qualitative research approaches and their ethics.
3. Description and Use of Qualitative Data Collection and Analysis Tools.
4. Applying research concepts through preparing a qualitative research plan and presenting it orally.
