Course Description: This course provides an introduction to the epistemological approach of quantitative and mixed-methods research, outlining the advantages and disadvantages of quantitative research. It also addresses the use of quantitative methods and their associated statistical techniques (i.e., descriptive and inferential statistics) in developing business research, collecting and analyzing relevant data, and presenting statistical findings scientifically. Key topics include descriptive measures, correlation coefficients, random and non-random sampling, sample size estimation, hypothesis testing, linear regression, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and psychometric properties such as validity and reliability.
Credit hours: 3
Objectives of the course :

1. Identify the epistemological methodologies of quantitative and mixed methods research, and explain the advantages and disadvantages of quantitative research.
2. Understanding the fundamental concepts of data analysis and statistical operations, including descriptive and inferential statistics.
3. Explanation, application, and interpretation of the results of psychometric evaluation procedures for tests and scales (validity and reliability)
Demonstrate the ability to analyze data using statistical methods (parametric and non-parametric tests).
5. Organize and present statistical information scientifically, orally.
