Course Description: This course covers the nature, scope, and significance of research methods in the social sciences. It emphasizes the theoretical and practical aspects of conducting research in a real-world business environment. Topics addressed include research methodology and approaches, such as research models, research design, data collection methods, appropriate statistical techniques for data analysis, as well as interpreting results and report writing. The course also aims to guide students in developing an individual research proposal based on an accounting issue within their area of interest.
Credit hours: 3
Objectives of the course :

1- Defining and explaining concepts and issues of scientific research and methodology.
2- Define the research process and apply research techniques, including research design, measurement, data collection methods, sampling, data analysis, result interpretation, and report writing.
3. Critically identifying and explaining research issues in economics, and illustrating their position within the broader framework of economic literature.
4. Develop and present academic oral communication skills through the presentation of a scientific research proposal.
