Course Description: The Strategic Management course includes a set of strategic concepts, both integrative and functional. It also utilizes knowledge to achieve integration in the internal environment variables of the organization, ensuring its ability to adapt to changes in the elements of the external environment, whether local, regional, or international. It also ensures the success and sustainability of organizations by defining the strategic vision, formulating the organization's mission, and setting strategic objectives based on situation analysis, which includes internal and external environmental analysis to ensure continuous achievement of excellence and sustainable competitive advantages through the implementation of the strategic plan, strategic performance monitoring, and control. The course focuses on effectively implementing, managing, and evaluating the strategic plan to ensure the achievement of strategic objectives. The course also presents different patterns of general business strategies, functional and international strategies, analyzing them, and judging their efficiency through their pros and cons.

Objectives of the course :

This course aims to equip students with the ability to list and define the main steps in developing a strategic business plan for companies, and to explain methods for analyzing the internal and external business environment. It also aims to differentiate between different levels of strategies and apply appropriate tools and criteria for their evaluation. It clarifies how to develop an implementation plan for the adopted strategy to ensure its effectiveness and demonstrate how to create strategic and operational performance metrics to monitor the effectiveness of the implemented strategy, and apply the strategic management process in light of the integrated perspective of strategies. It also aims to enhance oral communication skills, develop critical thinking skills, promote the values of efficient teamwork, reinforce social responsibility and business ethics, and foster the appreciation of cultural diversity in the business environment.
