Course Description: This course aims to introduce students to the concept and nature of scientific research, its stages of development, its types, and its phases. It also aims to familiarize students with the applications of scientific research in the field of administrative sciences. The course seeks to define the steps of scientific research for the student, introduce the most important scientific statistical methods and how to use them in various administrative science fields, and explain how to collect and analyze data and use computer software in different research processes. This course provides an opportunity to link the theoretical aspects and steps of scientific research with practical aspects in business situations. Finally, this course aims to equip the student with the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct theoretical and applied research using the scientific methodology appropriate for the research problem.

Objectives of the course :

This course aims to equip students with the ability to define scientific research, enumerate its steps, and explain its methodologies. It also enables them to articulate and explain the ethical aspects of scientific research and to apply its steps to prepare a research paper in the field of business administration. Furthermore, it enhances their oral communication skills and enables them to contribute and work efficiently in teams.

It explains the basic concepts of scientific research, its steps, methodologies, and ethical controls.
It shows the types of samples and measurement tools, their validity and reliability, and data collection methods.
Identifies appropriate statistical methods for data analysis using computer software and interprets their results.
Understand the concept of scientific citation and the academic documentation of evidence, proofs, and references.
Applies theoretical and applied research using scientific methodology appropriate to the research problem.
Presents a scientific research topic verbally and discusses it effectively.
Uses and applies statistical analysis programs, identifies variables, enters and manipulates data, performs transformations, and conducts and interprets statistical tests.
Possessing the values of teamwork in applying the steps of scientific research.
