Course Description: The Reproductive Health course is designed to provide undergraduate public health students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts, principles, and practices related to reproductive health. This course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote and protect reproductive health at the individual, community, and population levels. Throughout the course, students will explore a wide range of topics within reproductive health, including sexual and reproductive rights, contraception, family planning, pregnancy and childbirth, sexually transmitted infections, infertility, and reproductive technologies. The course will also address critical issues such as gender and reproductive health, reproductive health disparities, and ethical considerations in this field.

Objectives of the course :

1. Description of reproductive health components and their importance in promoting public health.
2. Analyze the social, cultural, economic, and political determinants that affect reproductive health outcomes.
3. Explanation of the principles of sexual and reproductive rights and their application in public health interventions.
4. Evaluation of different contraceptive methods, their effectiveness, and their effects on reproductive health.
5. Discussion of the stages of pregnancy and childbirth, and postpartum care, including potential complications and therapeutic interventions.
