Course Description: Theoretical: - Introduction to botany and its relation to other plant sciences / Types of seeds and germination / Morphological description of roots, stems, and leaves and the importance of each / Plant cell, its components, and the function of each component / Internal anatomical structure of roots, stems, and leaves of monocots and dicots / Study of the plant kingdom / Study of flowers and inflorescences / Study of types of fruits / Study of some plant families. Practical: - Identification of seed types, the difference between seeds and grains, and study of germination types (epigeal or hypogeal) / External description of roots, stems, and leaves / Anatomical structure of roots, stems, and leaves of monocots and dicots / Identification of bacteria, algae, mosses, ferns, gymnosperms, fungi, and angiosperms / Dissection of the flower and identification of inflorescence types, identification of different fruit types / Study of some plant families.

Introducing students to botany, its relationship with other sciences, and its importance in daily life and other applied sciences.

Students will become familiar with the structure of a plant and its components, both at the cellular and organic levels, and the role of each part.
