Course Description: Care for the political, social, and cultural reality in the Kingdom from 1350 AH, the factors of the renaissance of literature in the Kingdom, its most important tributaries, prominent conservative poets, prominent modern poets, and prominent figures in prose writing and criticism.

Objectives of the course :

Understanding the history of literature in the Kingdom (poetry and prose), the factors influencing its emergence, its stages of development, generations of writers, literary genres, and the thematic and artistic trends in the Kingdom's literature, with a brief familiarity with the critical movement in the Kingdom.

  • The student should summarize the most important factors influencing the renaissance of literature in the Kingdom.
