Course Description: The History of Arabic Grammar and its Most Famous Scholars and Schools.
Credits: 2
Objectives of the course :

The course objectives for the history of grammar include:
1/ Understanding the circumstances of the emergence of Arabic grammar.
2/ Review the beginnings of grammatical schools and learn about the layers of grammarians and their contributions.

Course outputs :

knowledge:

  • The student learns to read books on the history of grammar.
  • The student learns the skill of scientific thinking to reach the correct conclusion without relying solely on memorization.
  • The student retrieves knowledge of the history of grammar and deals with heritage books.

 

Cognitive skills:

  • Capable of sound logical reasoning.
  • It identifies the origin and development of grammar, its most important evidence, its most prominent scholars, and the distinction between grammatical schools. .
  • The author analyzes works written on the history of grammar, identifying their methodologies in different eras and the extent to which some benefited from others.

Interpersonal skills and taking responsibility:

  • He/She manages dialogues. Between students in group discussions, respecting others' opinions.
  • Chooses an educational problem and asks about ways to solve it. And he asks students questions related to the history of grammar.
