Developing a literary taste and gaining experience in reading and understanding ancient Islamic literary texts
Knowledge and understanding:
– The student will become familiar with a number of distinguished ancient literary texts.
The student will be able to identify prominent figures in Arabic literature during the pre-Islamic era.
– The student will learn methods for analyzing and appreciating literary texts.
Skills:
– For the student to analyze the text according to a specific critical approach
The student will recognize the differences between the writings of one author and another.
– The student reads the text fluently and comprehends its meanings.
Values, autonomy and responsibility:
– The student will evaluate a pre-Islamic poem that was not covered in the course vocabulary and memorize what is assigned.
To write a prose text in a distinguished literary style. .
