Course Description: Basics of organic animal husbandry – Eco-friendly animal production farm systems – Certification bodies and institutions for organic agriculture and methods of application and registration – Management of organic animal products and organic waste for soil fertilization – Biodiversity management – Crop rotation – Plant competition – Ground cover – Differences between traditional and organic animal husbandry – Behavior of organically raised animals – Animal and bird housing – Marketing of organic products (milk, meat, eggs).

Objectives of the course :

- Providing the student with up-to-date information in the field of organic animal agriculture and the organic production of milk, meat, lamb, and eggs.

1- Distinguishing organic livestock production farms from conventional ones.
2- Issuing permits for establishing an organic livestock production farm.
