Feeding Farm Animals

Course Description: The course covers the scientific principles of farm animal nutrition, nutrients and their vital functions, physiology of digestion and metabolism, nutritional requirements during growth and production stages, feed evaluation and its components, methods of feed preservation and processing, ration formulation, feed additives, and the effect of nutrition on health, production, and reproduction.
Credit hours: 3
Prerequisites: BCH 301
Objectives of the course :

Provide the student with scientific knowledge on feeding farm animals and their various nutritional requirements.
2- Developing the student's ability to evaluate feed and balance animal diets.
3- equips the student with the ability to design nutritional programs that contribute to improving animal health and production.
