Course Description: This course covers advanced and selected topics in animal production, which vary based on scientific, research, and applied interests. These may include integrated production systems, breed improvement, reproduction management, advanced nutrition, animal welfare, performance and productivity assessment, animal production technology, farm economics, public health and environmental issues, and research projects or field case studies. It aims to link theoretical knowledge with practical application and encourage critical and research thinking.

Objectives of the course :

Deepening students' understanding of modern issues and technologies in animal production fields.
Developing the ability to analyze production problems and propose evidence-based solutions.
To gain skills in conducting case studies or short research, and designing field or laboratory experiments.
Enhancing the ability to evaluate production management alternatives from technical, economic, and environmental perspectives.
Developing scientific presentation skills, writing research reports, and recommending improved productive policies or practices

Course outputs :

Identify and describe selected advanced topics in animal production and highlight their applied and research significance.
Analyzing actual productivity problems in an agricultural or farming system and proposing practical solutions supported by scientific data and evidence.
Design and implement a case study or a small experiment (field or laboratory) that includes formulating a research question, methodological approaches, data collection, and simplified statistical analysis.
Evaluation of breeding, nutrition, health, and technology management practices on a farm in terms of performance, productivity, and cost.
