Head and neck anatomy

Course Description: This course aims to provide students with knowledge regarding the structures of the head and neck related to healthcare delivery. The course focuses on the anatomy of the head and neck, structural design, in addition to the blood supply and innervation of the components of the head and neck in relation to oral and dental health.

Prerequisites: ANAT216
Objectives of the course :

The neck with an emphasis on structures associated with the oral cavity.

Differentiating between the different anatomical regions of the head and neck.

Identify the bones, muscles, and glandular tissues of the head and neck.

Summary of the blood, nerve, and lymphatic supply of the head and neck.

Identify the anatomical structure of the palate, pharynx, oral cavity, and temporomandibular joint.
