Anatomy (1)

Course Description: This course is designed to provide students with knowledge of the normal human body structure, including the upper and lower extremities and the trunk. The practical aspect of the course reinforces theoretical concepts through the use of models, structural materials, and cadaver dissections. This contributes to a good understanding of anatomical structural variations associated with the practice of physical therapy, and optimal use of a wide range of resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
Credits: 6
Objectives of the course :

1. • Assisting students in acquiring the necessary information and understanding the anatomy of different body parts.
2. • Appreciating the importance of anatomy as a core subject in the physical therapy profession, and applying its relevant concepts, principles, and terminology to understand pathological processes in physical therapy.
• Developing effective leadership and communication skills.

Course outputs :

Identify basic anatomical concepts.
• Explanation of the anatomical structure of the upper and lower limbs and the chest.
• Description of the main applications of anatomical facts.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of the surface/living anatomy and radiological anatomy of the upper and lower limbs and the thorax.
Applying fundamental knowledge and cognitive skills to solve problems and understand certain relevant fields outside the scope of the anatomy course.
• Utilize effective communication skills with colleagues.
Demonstrates appropriate measures for teamwork, leadership, and continuous personal development.
