Course Description: The thesis course, which the student presents at the end of their study period after completing the second level and all other courses, is an academic thesis related to the fields of doctrine (creed, sects, schools of thought, or religions) that aligns with their research interests. The student must follow the appropriate scientific methodology for researching the problem, be equipped with various scientific research skills, rely on the foundations of different scientific and critical approaches according to the methodologies of humanities studies, and acquire the skills for preparing a scientific thesis subject to various academic requirements, including academic advising, scientific supervision, defense, and approval of research according to its governing regulations.

Objectives of the course :

For the student to acquire research and critical thinking skills to complete an integrated scientific study, adhering to the conditions, regulations, and guidelines of postgraduate studies. This should be in the areas of creed, sects, intellectual doctrines, or religions, or related branches, issues, and problems, following scientific methods and systematic approaches. The student will be trained to select a research topic, define its problem, objectives, and questions, and to build an appropriate methodology and procedures, applying various skills to accomplish the study.

The student, in collaboration with their academic advisor, chooses a scientific issue or contemporary phenomenon suitable for the specialization, or a problem that raises questions and requires solutions, reflections, and scientific studies that contribute to serving doctrinal fields and add to scientific studies in the specialization, in a way that suits the student's scientific interests.
The student prepares a thesis project plan to submit to the department and scientific review committees to demonstrate its suitability for research and to complete the registration procedures according to the Graduate Studies Guide for thesis registration.
