Course Description: - Introduction to the history and concept of intellectual movements. - Study of examples of intellectual currents (Secularism, Liberalism, Modernity, Humanism, Rationalism). - Contemporary Atheism. - Globalization and its effects.
Credit hours: 4
Objectives of the course :

The student will become familiar with the most important contemporary intellectual movements and their various impacts on the Islamic world.

Course outputs :

Knowledge and understanding:
1- The student will become familiar with contemporary currents and ideas. .
2. The student will know the doctrinal history of those currents, including their origins and developments. .
3. The student looks to the future by reading the present and connecting it to the past. .
Skills:
1- The student can deduce the different implications of schools of thought.
2. To link together different articles from the intellectual schools of thought.
3. To deduce the invalidity of intellectual doctrines
4. To use modern technology to access knowledge, conduct scientific research, and benefit from it
