– Statement of the virtue of Islam and its dominance over all other religions, whether heavenly or man-made.
To understand the reasons for deviation in Judaism and Christianity.
– A historical study of religions that differ from Islam, clarifying their basic beliefs, how they originated and evolved throughout history, in addition to identifying the primary sources of these religions.
A critical study of these divergent religions through what the Holy Quran presented about them, what Muslim scholars presented from their different perspectives, and what contemporary Western studies have added in this field.
Deepen the student's understanding of these religions so they can engage in insightful dialogue with them, whether they are Abrahamic religions – Judaism and Christianity – or man-made religions, such as Hinduism and Buddhism.
Knowledge and understanding:
"Scientific recognition of religions, whether divine (Judaism and Christianity) or man-made (Hinduism and Buddhism).".
2. Understanding the reasons for deviation in religions contrary to Islam.
3. Knowledge of the contemporary world's religious map and outlining Islam's position within it.
Familiarity with the most important critical approaches in the study of religions, and comparing them with those of Islamic scholars.
Skills:
1- The skill of scientifically and correctly understanding what opponents have.
2. Critical thinking skills for followers of other religions and groups that differ from the Salafi methodology.
3. The skill of being able to link opposing viewpoints to the environments in which they emerged, and the extent to which they were influenced by those environments.
4- The skill of dialogue with those who disagree, identifying its areas, methods, and objectives.
Values, autonomy and responsibility:
The student should be able to fully and objectively understand what others have, as well as have the ability to dialogue and communicate with them to understand what others have, and then critically study what others have.
To readily accept criticism from others regarding their proposals and ideas, and to possess the ability to defend their opinions against dissenters.
