Course Description: Understanding contemporary doctrines and ideas in light of the creed of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah.
Credit hours: 3
Objectives of the course :

- Identifying contemporary intellectual schools of thought, their origins, fundamentals, and their impact on people's lives.
– Statement of the religious ruling on intellectual issues related to contemporary schools of thought.
Developing students' skills in dialogue, discussion, and understanding with proponents of these contemporary trends.

Course outputs :

Knowledge and understanding:
1- Scientific recognition of contemporary intellectual schools.
2. Understanding the causes of deviation within these schools of thought.
3. Understanding the intellectual map of the contemporary world and explaining Islam's position within it.
4. Familiarity with the most important critical trends in contemporary thought and comparing them to those of Islamic scholars.

1- The skill of scientifically and correctly understanding what opponents have.
2- Critical thinking skills for those with other schools of thought.
