Course Description: This course covers various methods for the uses and applications of computers in accounting. It includes studying how to use Excel to solve problems in different accounting branches, as well as examining ready-made accounting software programs.

Prerequisites: ACCT241
Objectives of the course :

Upon completion of this course, it is expected that the student will be able to do the following:
• Applies ready-made functions in Excel to solve some financial accounting problems.
• Excel is used as a database in accounting.
Excel is used in the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
• Excel model for estimating semi-variable costs (linear regression).
An Excel spreadsheet model for solving some managerial accounting problems.
• A template for Excel to solve some problems related to cost accounting.
• Uses ready-made accounting software.
