Course Description: Prepares students for participation in research in dentistry and related fields. Students will undertake a major individual research protocol related to a thesis project on an approved topic under the guidance of a team of supervisors. The work submitted should be publishable and make a distinct contribution to the student's area of interest.

Objectives of the course :

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Familiarity with the principles of scientific research ethics
2. The ability to choose a research topic and define its objectives
3. The ability to select and evaluate appropriate methods for testing and analyzing data.
Demonstrate critical thinking skills to discuss the research topic
5. Participate in academic discussion to incorporate feedback from supervisors and examiners.
Ability to search for and evaluate literature relevant to the research.
7. Ability to use reference management software
8. The ability to perform all necessary testing methods for research.
