Course Description: A final practical application for PhD students in Foundations of Education, to prepare an original academic research under expert supervision. This research will demonstrate the student's ability to investigate, analyze, and apply knowledge in the field of Foundations of Education. It includes the student preparing a research plan on their topic, writing the dissertation, and a public defense before a specialized committee. Excellence, originality, and adherence to scientific methodology standards and academic integrity are required, representing a scientific contribution to the specialization.

The main objective of the course:

The student's production of a scientific thesis represents a contribution to the specialization of educational principles through original research, in which the student adheres to the methodology of scientific research.

This will be achieved by meeting the following sub-objectives:

  • Identifying an original research problem in the field of the philosophy of education.
  • Employing educational theories in analyzing educational issues.
  • Choosing the Appropriate Research Methodology (Quantitative/Qualitative/Mixed).
  • Application of scientific research tools and data analysis with precision.
  • Interpreting the results in light of educational literature.
  • Writing a scientific paper according to international academic standards.
  • Proficiency in dialogue and scientific discussion on the thesis topic before a specialized committee.
