Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1- Identification of all types of intellectual and motor disabilities in children, how to treat them, and the indications and contraindications for those methods.
2. Identifying how to manage children with hemophilia and various blood disorders, as well as heart, respiratory, and all types of immune deficiency disorders, and methods of collaborating with hematology and pediatrics consultants.
3- Description of diagnostic procedures and therapeutic plans for children with special needs in their various components
4- Developing the ability to solve clinical problems and analyze information obtained from examination results and radiological analyses to form a final diagnosis and formulate treatment plans for all cases.
5. Providing complete care for patients with special needs with absolute impartiality, integrity, commitment to ethical values, legal methods, and respect for the needs of patients and their guardians.
6. Developing the skill of documenting and entering clinical and diagnostic data into patient files using the software programs used in dental school clinics.
7- Applying pharmacological and auxiliary non-pharmacological methods for child treatment acceptance, using various means such as sedation, partial hypnosis, nitrous oxide, and full anesthesia.
8. Performing preventive and surgical and non-surgical treatments for comprehensive dental restoration for children with intellectual and motor disabilities and other systemic diseases.
A - Knowledge
1. Identifying and monitoring the problems that patients with special needs complain about.
2. Recognizing how to treat children with hemophilia, various blood disorders, heart disease, respiratory diseases, and all types of immunodeficiency, and methods of collaborating with hematology and pediatrics consultants.
3. Description of diagnostic procedures and treatment plan for children with special needs, including their simple and complex components.

1- Inferring, analyzing, and reasoning with data from the medical history, clinical examination, and imaging to assist in:
– Reaching the final diagnosis and

Practicing pediatric dentistry and providing comprehensive care for patients with special needs with complete objectivity, integrity, and adherence to ethical values and legal methods in all circumstances, respecting the needs of patients and their families, and showing leadership spirit and the ability to communicate with them.

Entering and documenting clinical data in the patient's file using information technology programs followed in dental clinics
