Classic literature review

Course Description: To provide students with in-depth knowledge and understanding of classic scientific articles related to pediatric dentistry. The course consists of continuous weekly seminars dedicated to classic scientific articles and discussion of research methodologies. Seminars will be held for pre-determined topics. Article reviews and textbook chapters will be selected for each topic. This will allow students to gain in-depth knowledge of the selected topics. Additionally, modern and classic scientific articles will be critically analyzed to evaluate their value according to the concept of evidence-based dentistry.

Objectives of the course :

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Identification of clinical concepts and techniques
2. Include points to consider during critical analysis of different study types.
3. Differentiating between a methodologically strong study and a weak one.
4. Developing critical reading skills for scientific articles
5. Description of various modern techniques and materials in pediatric dentistry.
6. Discuss and analyze all specified articles and book chapters in a useful and constructive manner.
