Course Description: The course provides an introduction to automation and industrial control systems, including sensors, actuators, and other control system components. It also covers discrete control using programmable logic controllers and personal computers, automatic data acquisition, material handling systems, automated assembly systems, storage systems, and automated guided vehicle systems.

Objectives of the course :

1. Introduction to Manufacturing Automation Elements and Their Benefits.
2. Developing fundamental knowledge of CNC machine programming and CNC codes using integrated CAD/CAM systems.
3. Describe the fundamental concepts of industrial robots.
4. Identify the main concepts in material handling, manufacturing systems, and manufacturing support systems.
