The course objectives are as follows:
Provide students with a fundamental understanding of production and manufacturing processes using simulation.
2. Enable students to use standard software (ARENA) to simulate manufacturing and production processes.
3- To equip students with knowledge of the fundamentals of modeling and simulation.
4. Enable students to evaluate process performance based on cycle time, work in process, and throughput level.
Learning outcomes are divided into three main areas:
I: Knowledge and understanding:
1- Recalling concepts and applications related to the basic operations of simulation in mechanical engineering.
2- سرد تطبيقات أنواع المحاكاة المختلفة: الديناميكية، والاستاتيكية، والمتقطعة (Discrete)، والمستمرة (Continuous).
3- Describe the basic processes in the design of manufacturing and simulation systems.
4- Low-level modeling using SIMAN code and high-level modeling using user-created application templates for process modeling.
II: Skills:
1- Development of discrete and continuous models for industrial process systems with the aim of solving complex problems.
2- Interpretation of data and simulation results for use in improving and developing systems.
3- Using simulation software to solve manufacturing system design problems.
Third: Values, Independence, and Responsibility:
Effective management of research activities related to manufacturing systems and simulation methods in advanced manufacturing.
