Course Description: Introduction to Polymer Materials Science, Dimensional Analysis and Similarity Laws, Transport Phenomena in Polymer Processing, Analytical Solution-Based Analysis, Introduction to Numerical Analysis, Finite Difference Method, Boundary Element Methods, Radial Basis Function Methods.

Objectives of the course :

• Identification of general properties, thermal behavior of polymers, and their end-use properties.
• Identification of terms related to thermoplastics, thermosets, and elastomers.
Clarification of the difference between the amorphous and crystalline states in polymers.
• Analysis of mechanical properties and deformation mechanisms in polymers.
Identify transport phenomena in polymer processing.
Application of the finite difference method, boundary element methods, and radial basis function methods in the field of polymers.
