Course Description: This course provides a comprehensive overview of toxicant identification and exposure assessment. Students will analyze toxic effects on individuals and populations, examine biomarkers of exposure, and develop essential skills in clinical and forensic toxicology.

Objectives of the course :

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Acquiring knowledge, principles, and practical information related to toxicology.
2. Identifying basic analytical laboratory procedures in the field of clinical and forensic toxicology.

Knowledge and understanding:
• Outcome 1.1: Explain the fundamental principles of analytical toxicology and its applications in clinical and forensic settings.
• Outcome 1.2: Describe laboratory quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA), and accreditation requirements in toxicology laboratories.
• Outcome 1.3: Describe the principles of sampling, transport, storage, and preparation of samples for toxicological analysis.
