Upon successful completion of this course, the following objectives are expected to be achieved:
Understanding the basic principles of pharmacology, defining drugs and their various sources.
• Study of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic aspects of drugs within the body.
• Identify the pharmacological properties of drugs used to treat diseases affecting the central nervous system, endocrine system, digestive system, and cardiovascular system, including the blood clotting process.
• Understanding the pharmacology of drugs used as local and general anesthetics, as well as skeletal muscle relaxants.

• Definition of the basic concepts of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics related to toxic responses.
• Identify the main drug classifications and their general biochemical targets in the body.
