Course Description: Pharmacoeconomics is a scientific discipline that equips students with the ability to evaluate the value of newly developed medications compared to available therapeutic alternatives. This includes employing a range of pharmacoeconomic methodologies to achieve optimal resource utilization. Through a comprehensive assessment of the costs and benefits associated with various treatment options, pharmacoeconomics ensures that patients receive the highest quality of healthcare while achieving maximum efficiency in the utilization of healthcare resources.

This decision aims to introduce students to the following:
Basic concepts and theoretical aspects of pharmacoeconomics.

Strengths and limitations (determinants) of study designs used in pharmacoeconomics.
