Integrated drug therapy: musculoskeletal

Course Description: This course aims to integrate the pathophysiological derangements of musculoskeletal system-related diseases with concepts of drug action and therapy. Drug therapy will be reviewed with a focus on pathophysiology, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, and medicinal chemistry. Emphasis will also be placed on drug selection, dosage regimen design, and monitoring of therapeutic drug concentrations to assess the achievement of therapeutic efficacy and avoidance of adverse effects.

Objectives of the course :

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Describe the pathophysiological processes of musculoskeletal disorders.
