Integrated drug therapy: Dermatology

Course Description: This course aims to integrate the pathophysiology of dermatological and otorhinolaryngological diseases with concepts of drug action and therapy. Pharmacotherapy will be reviewed with a focus on pathophysiology, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, and medicinal chemistry. Emphasis will also be placed on drug selection, dosage regimen design, and therapeutic drug concentration monitoring to evaluate the achievement of therapeutic efficacy and the avoidance of side effects.

Objectives of the course :

Describe the pathophysiological processes of skin, ear, nose, and throat diseases.
Explain the pharmacology used in the treatment of skin, ear, nose, and throat diseases.
Explain the structure-activity relationships of drugs used to treat skin, ear, nose, and throat diseases.
Describe the pharmaceutical dosage forms used in the treatment of skin, ear, nose, and throat diseases.
Provide the necessary therapeutic knowledge for managing patients with skin and ENT diseases.
 Describe appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.
