Integrated drug therapy: Endocrinology and gynecology

Course Description: This course aims to integrate the physiopathological disorders of endocrine and female reproductive system diseases with the concepts of drug action and therapy. Drug therapy will be reviewed with an emphasis on pathophysiology, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, and medicinal chemistry. Emphasis will be placed on drug selection, dosage regimen design, and monitoring of therapeutic drug efficacy to evaluate the achievement of therapeutic effectiveness and avoidance of side effects.

Objectives of the course :

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Describe the pathophysiological processes of endocrine and female reproductive system diseases.
2. Pharmacology of drugs used in the treatment of endocrinology and the female reproductive system.
3. Clarification of the structure-activity relationships of the drugs used.
4. Describe the formulations of the drug dosages used.
5. Provide the necessary therapeutic knowledge for managing patients with endocrine and female reproductive system disorders.
6. Describe appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.
