Statistical methods

Course Description: Some statistical distributions (T-distribution, F-distribution, Chi-square distribution using their statistical tables) - Sampling distributions - Central Limit Theorem - Chebyshev's inequality - Interval estimation - Hypothesis testing - Completely Randomized and Randomized Block Designs - Analysis of Variance (One-way, Two-way) - Regression (Simple) - Correlation (Pearson, Spearman) - Chi-square test - Some non-parametric tests.

Prerequisites: STAT 215
Objectives of the course :

This course aims to study sampling distributions, as well as to study the most important statistical tests and prepare students to use them in applied fields and to analyze and infer statistical data.

Course outputs :

Acquiring knowledge by learning some basic methods and concepts related to sampling distributions, mathematical statistics, and their applications. Improving the ability to use and apply statistical methods to conduct appropriate tests and make decisions in areas that require it. Developing cognitive skills through thinking and solving some real-life problems. Enhancing the capability to pursue advanced studies in the field of applied statistics in general when needed.
