This course aims to enable the student to:
Explanation of the basic concepts of plant physiology and their application to plant cell functions.
Description of water absorption and translocation mechanisms within plants.
Explanation of key physiological processes such as transpiration and photosynthesis.
Analysis of the impact of environmental factors, especially water stress, on biological processes in plants.
Distinguish the role of enzymes in regulating biochemical reactions within plants.
Interpretation of the effect of mineral nutrition on plant growth and development.
Application of laboratory experiments to study physiological processes and analyze their results.
First: Knowledge & Understanding
By the end of the course, the student will be able to:
Explains concepts of plant cell physiology, including diffusion, osmosis, and permeability.
K2: Explains the relationships of water in plants, the mechanisms of absorption, transpiration, and water transport, and the effect of environmental factors on them.

By the end of the course, the student will be able to:
Explains the mechanisms of water transport within plants and identifies the factors affecting absorption and transpiration.
Analyzes physiological processes in plants by comparing different water relations.
S3: Applies laboratory experiments to measure the rate of transpiration and evaluate the effects of water stress.
Compares light-dependent and light-independent reactions in photosynthesis and analyzes the factors affecting them.
Employs scientific knowledge to explain the role of mineral nutrition in plant growth.
