The student will learn about the different phyla of arthropods and identify the most important animals in each phylum, with a focus on insects as the most significant arthropods related to humans, through lectures, group discussions, and field research.
2. Differentiating information needs and comparing automated systems
The student distinguishes between the information needs of individuals and groups, and compares appropriate automated information systems, by solving practical problems and applying research and seminars.
3. Analyzing the importance of arthropods and their ability to solve problems and create digital content
The student compares the importance of arthropods in human life and their relationship with other organisms. They also gain the ability to identify and help solve problems, in addition to creating specialized web pages, using the case study method and group discussions.
4. Evaluating the Use of Modern Technologies and Teamwork
The student evaluates the use of specialized websites, PowerPoint, and email for presentations and communication, as well as teamwork and leadership skills, through direct observation and active participation in class.

Course Nature and Practical Applications
The Arthropod course primarily combines theoretical and practical aspects, with 30 hours dedicated to theoretical lectures and 30 hours to laboratory experiments. The practical part focuses on microscopic dissection of representative specimens (such as shrimp, crabs, scorpions, spiders, and various insects) and the use of dichotomous keys to identify orders and families. The course also includes field activities for collecting specimens from the local environment, and training in creating reference collections (Insect Collections) and digital projects (web pages). This course is fundamental to understanding the biodiversity, ecological relationships, and medical importance of arthropods, and opens avenues for advanced studies in entomology and parasitology.
