Laboratory Preparation Technique

Course Description: This course covers the practical aspects of Microtechnique. It focuses on identifying various laboratory tools and devices and their uses, as well as studying the fundamental principles of light and electron microscopes, their components, analytical capabilities, and applications. The course also includes studying the stages of preparing microscopic slides from biological samples, understanding the purpose of each stage, from sample collection to preparation for examination. It further addresses different sample preparation methods, staining techniques, and the importance of each technique in revealing cellular and tissue structures. The course emphasizes the applied aspect by training students in preparing microscopic slides from different tissues, comparing various preparation methods, and developing the ability to document results and write them in scientific laboratory reports.
Credits: 2
