The Deanship of Development and Quality has started its first steps by preparing its future strategic plan to be consistent with the university's mission and strategic directions. Among its main objectives are spreading the culture of quality in its comprehensive concept, providing effective support to the university units, colleges and programs in the field of quality and accreditation, contributing to raising the level of scientific and professional performance in various administrative and academic units, representing the university with external bodies related to academic evaluation and accreditation, and strengthening scientific and professional relations with other distinguished universities and educational institutions to benefit from its expertise.

Tasks and Responsibilities of the Deanship
- Follow up the implementation of the university's strategic plan projects related to quality and accreditation, evaluate the implementation work, and take the necessary measures according to the approved mechanism.
- Proposing the formation of the necessary committees and task forces to study the issues related to development, quality and evaluation and develop appropriate plans for improvement at the university.
- Representing the university to external bodies related to the work related to evaluation, development and academic accreditation.
- Developing an integrated system for continuous self-evaluation of the university's performance and quality assurance for its academic and administrative units. As well as developing the necessary organizational regulations and procedures to implement the university's objectives related to quality and academic accreditation issues and providing technical support for them.
- Work to organize the university's activities related to the preparation and implementation of plans related to evaluation, academic accreditation and quality assurance in all academic and administrative units of the university.
- Coordination between the different units and departments of the university, as well as coordination with external bodies and competent authorities of a nature related to the work assigned to the Deanship of Development and Quality to facilitate the university and its various programs to obtain academic accreditation.
- Creating databases of reports on the academic and administrative performance of all university units to include data on performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks to recognize performance trends and measure changes in the performance of the different university units.
- Contributing to the development of the knowledge and skills of the beneficiaries, including faculty members and administrators, in the field of the quality of the educational process and academic accreditation.
- Providing support and advice to the different units of the university towards preparing evaluation, academic accreditation and quality assurance plans and implementing them according to approved schedules, and supervising the preparation of reports related to self-evaluation and quality assurance for all these units.
- Conducting evaluative studies that help identify strengths and development opportunities in the university's units and activities in order to make appropriate decisions and continuous improvement.
- Using various means (publications, books, folders, workshops, lectures, etc.) to spread the culture of quality and to disseminate information related to evaluation and academic accreditation at the level of the academic and administrative departments of the university.
- General supervision of the work of the entities associated with the deanship.
- Organizing the tasks of the entities associated with the deanship, approving their work plans and continuously developing them.
- Provide proposals and consultations on the university's strategies and priorities to improve quality within the university academically and administratively.
- Establishing a mechanism to recognize and communicate the expectations and requirements of customer satisfaction (internal and external) to all relevant units
- Developing a procedures manual that defines the university's inputs and processes to improve performance and quality control, and the various mechanisms to link the university's academic and administrative units according to its vision, mission, and strategic goals.
- Working with the university's colleges, supporting deanships, and its various administrations to establish development and quality units and committees.
- Reviewing documents and requests for the creation of academic programs related to quality standards and requirements.
- Provide support and advice to reference committees for joint (peer) programs.
- Provide support, advice and coordination between academic programs and the Saudi Qualifications Framework.
- Submit proposals that would contribute to raising the level of scientific and professional performance in the various academic and administrative departments to the university administration.
- Propose a suitable plan for periodic review of the approved quality standards to ensure continuous improvement in the performance of the academic and administrative departments at the university.
- Ensuring the accurate implementation of periodic self-evaluation studies for all academic and administrative units at the university, in addition to the evaluation studies used for periodic external audits.
- Periodically reviewing the quality of academic programs (undergraduate and postgraduate), supporting deanships and departments, and providing recommendations for the continuous development and improvement of their quality.
- Reviewing the quality of the summer semester reports and courses, and making recommendations related to them to the competent committees at the university.
- Working to establish constructive scientific and professional relations between the university and other educational institutions that are distinguished in their performance, in order to benefit from the experiences of these institutions in all matters related to improving the level of performance within the university.
- Studying, preparing and implementing the necessary training plans to develop the skills of faculty members and human resources at the university and improve the quality of its outputs.
