Vision

Achieving voluntary leadership for Qassim University through the best practices for managing and developing volunteer work programs among university affiliates and entities, according to the National Standard for Volunteer Management in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Edamah)

The message:

Enabling university affiliates to practice voluntary work according to studied methodologies and sustainable systems by linking them to available voluntary opportunities, training them in voluntary work, creating quality and innovative voluntary opportunities, and building fruitful partnerships between the university and community organizations to expand the scope of voluntary work at the university and enable its affiliates to participate effectively in the community

Objectives

  1. Enabling Qassim University to contribute to the national indicators of voluntary work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  2. Organizing and developing volunteer work practices at the university.
  3. Educating and spreading awareness among university affiliates regarding volunteer work.
  4. Improving the productivity of volunteering at the university by adopting and providing opportunities for high-impact and sustainable volunteering practices. 
  5. Holding partnerships in the field of volunteer work between the university and governmental and private entities and community organizations to expand the scope of volunteer work at the university.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  1. Building organizations, models and regulations that support voluntary work within the university.
  2. Build volunteer opportunities by collaborating with university departments and divisions to assess their need for volunteers and contribute to the design and review of volunteer opportunities.
  3. Providing a clear mechanism for volunteer work by drawing clear policies and procedures and ensuring that volunteer work is carried out in accordance with the approved policies and procedures and reviewing them periodically.
  4. Manage data on volunteer hours for university employees.
  5. Identify the training needs of volunteers and provide development programs accordingly.
  6. Spreading awareness and special abilities by formulating volunteer opportunities and offering them to university employees.
  7. Coordinating partnerships with governmental and private entities to provide quality volunteer opportunities for university employees.
  8. Highlighting the voluntary efforts of the university and its affiliates by documenting successful experiences and effective and continuous communication.
