The University, represented by the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, participated in the Palm Exhibition organized by the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, with the participation of the General Authority for Culture in the Saudi House in Jakarta, the capital of the Republic of Indonesia. Various varieties of dates were displayed, and introductory panels were printed in the Indonesian language to introduce the Indonesian people to the cultural and economic status of the palm tree, in addition to a tasting corner at one side of the exhibition, which received a large number of visitors.
Regarding the university's participation in this international exhibition, the head of the delegation, Dr. Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al-Suhaim, confirmed that this participation came as an extension of the university's previous participation in such cultural forums on behalf of the Kingdom, which met with great success on several occasions, pointing out that the exhibition was visited by several high-level figures from the Indonesian government and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Jakarta, and a number of diplomats and ambassadors from several countries, where all visitors expressed their appreciation and admiration for the university pavilion that contributes to closer relations with people of the Islamic world.
