Al-Dawood inaugurates graduate studies in economics
His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, UQU President, inaugurated on Wednesday morning the postgraduate studies headquarters of the College of Economics and Administration at the University City building in Al-Malaydah. His Excellency listened to a detailed explanation of the headquarters, which was built on an area of 800 square meters, and inspected its equipment, departments, halls and capabilities, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Economics and Administration, Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Obayeb, and several professors of the college.
His Excellency expressed his admiration for the new headquarters and directed the opening of parallel education tracks in the evening period, and canceling the English language proficiency requirement for parallel education, in order to accommodate more numbers of postgraduate students and provide an opportunity for those who were not lucky enough to join the basic programs. Al-Dawood also directed those responsible for postgraduate studies to agree with publishing houses to print and translate books and references necessary for students, after he was briefed on the college's efforts in translating 140 books and writing 20 books in previous years.
The headquarters inaugurated by His Excellency includes 3 classrooms, equipped with the latest audio and video technologies, equipped with an electronic linkage system, a trading lab that is in the process of obtaining a license from the Capital Market Authority, two meeting rooms, administrative offices, a café for students, a special reading corner equipped with specialized books in the field of economics and management, in addition to a studio and cameras for filming scientific materials.
It is noteworthy that the postgraduate studies track at the College of Economics and Administration at Qassim University applied for 1200 students this year and 120 students were accepted, and offers 4 programs in the disciplines of business administration (MBA), science program in finance, science program in economics, and science program in accounting.
