The university has achieved a new academic milestone with the inclusion of six majors for the first time in the QS World University Rankings 2025, reflecting its commitment to developing its academic and research programs and strengthening its position among the best international universities.
For the first time, the ranking included social and administrative sciences at 297th place, engineering and technology at 333rd place, pharmacy and pharmacology at 351st place, medical and life sciences at 401st place, arts and humanities at 401st place, and natural sciences at 501st place, while three specializations at the university maintained their presence for the second year, namely: mathematics at 451st place, medicine at 551st place, and computer science and information systems at 651st place: Mathematics ranked 451st, Medicine ranked 551st, and Computer Science and Information Systems ranked 651st, which entered the ranking in 2024.
The QS rankings are based on several evaluation criteria, including academic reputation, scientific publication, research citations, international research partnerships, outputs and employment opportunities, which contribute to improving the quality of education, promoting research and innovation, expanding international academic cooperation, raising the university's global reputation, and increasing employment opportunities for its graduates.
This achievement is a new addition to Qassim University's academic record and reflects its commitment to developing its educational programs and enhancing its global presence.
