Today, Sunday 29/12/2024, the University signed an agreement with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources to support innovators in the field of industry and mining, during the event "The Future of Industrial and Mining Innovation", under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef. His Excellency the Assistant Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Planning and Development, Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Ahmari, and His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharekh, witnessed the signing of the agreement that aims to support innovators in a move to promote industrial and mining innovation, within the "Industrial and Mining Innovation Products" program, which includes the "Industrial and Mining Innovations" program.

The agreement was signed by HE Dr. Ahmed Jameel Qattan, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Strategic Planning and Performance, and HE Dr. Waleed bin Saleh Al-Battah, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, during a launch ceremony at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh.

The agreement aims to transform ideas into innovative industrial products, provide integrated services through the "Innovative Industrial and Mining Products" platform, provide specialized technical and strategic consultations, connect innovators with investors and supporting entities, promote innovation in the industrial and mining sectors, and support integration between the academic, industrial and mining sectors.

For his part, the Minister visited the university's corner participating in the accompanying exhibition, in the presence of His Excellency the President of the University, and was briefed on the university's innovation and entrepreneurship support system.
