Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, the university celebrated World Teachers' Day under the slogan "Professional competencies towards sustainable community development" by holding a number of events and activities for five days, in order to emphasize the importance of the role of teachers in society.
The activities of the university, represented by the College of Education, kicked off with a special celebration that included a forum and workshops with a number of male and female teachers, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Education in Qassim, on Wednesday at the Prince Sultan Complex for Gifted and Talented in Buraidah, in the presence of the Director General of Education in the region, Mr. Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al-Furaih.
This event is based on the principle of cooperation between the university and the Department of Education, believing in the role and importance of the teacher, and the university's desire to participate in celebrating the teacher in recognition of his great role in building generations and raising the scientific level of students. The event included a celebration and a number of workshops for teachers presented by a number of faculty members from the College of Education at Qassim University, including: The teacher learner, opportunities for empowerment and sustainability, inclusive education, instilling values, and the role of higher education in promoting green technology and sustainable industries.
The university is also organizing a series of virtual workshops over five days for teachers, including class management, role model teachers, educators of generations, the Kingdom's efforts in preparing teachers, educational interventions to treat reading difficulties, professional learning communities, reality and hope, the role of professional license in developing teacher performance, the role of assistive technologies in empowering people with disabilities, a lecture on the use of terrazzo material in art education courses, ethics of using artificial intelligence in education, 21st century skills, an introduction to education for the future, constructivist assessment: Strategies for developing performance and enhancing learning, as well as procedural introductions in developing thinking skills in the educational process, the teacher and his role in the quality of the graduation project within the framework of the pathways system for secondary education, and who influences the student's scientific achievement.
